Join us for a hands-on session where you’ll create a pacing guide tailored to your grade-level standards and the materials you already use—whether that’s iReady, IM, or other resources. Together, we’ll explore strategies for adjusting your plan when students need extra time with a concept or when the school calendar throws you a curveball.
For our English learners, every year’s key math content is essential for opening doors to future opportunities. Come learn practical ways to stay in control of your pacing, make the most of your instructional time, and ensure all students can access the math they need to succeed.

Let's Plan Your Next AIM4S3™ Math Unit - Together!

Bring your program, your standards, and your questions, and work side-by-side with trainers and fellow teachers to choose Focus and Motivation activities, plan your Compendium, and identify your assessments so you can put the needs of your English learners and students who struggle with math front and center. We’ll guide you in making confident decisions about how long to teach a topic, when to move forward, and how to keep students engaged. Each virtual session includes dedicated planning time, so you’ll leave with a solid start to your next math unit.

Prerequisite: Participants must have attended an AIM4S3TM Math Level I training.

Maximizing Your i-Ready Math Materials While Cultivating Mathematical Thinking and Language

Join us for a hands-on session where you'll learn how to make the most of your i-Ready Math materials to better support your English learners. We'll learn 1) easy-to-use routines that help students build oral language skills, 2) how charting can aid their understanding of key ideas, and 3) how asking the right questions can encourage deeper thinking about math.
You'll also explore how to teach the Math in Action lessons in a fun and meaningful way, helping students see how math connects to real life and feel more confident in their learning. Leave with clear strategies to prioritize iReady lessons for your English Learners' success.

Maximizing Your Illustrative Math Materials While Cultivating Mathematical Thinking and Language

Discover new ways to make your Illustrative Math (IM) lessons more powerful and accessible for your English Learners and manageable for you. In this hands-on session, you’ll 1) explore practical strategies to support oral language development, 2) boost student understanding through visual tools like charting, and 3) use purposeful questioning to spark deeper mathematical thinking. You’ll also learn how to bring the Let’s Put It to Work lessons to life in ways that help students see the real-world relevance of math—and enjoy it! Walk away with tools and ideas that will help you confidently tailor your IM instruction to increase your English Learners’ success.

Are you looking for a framework to support teachers in meaningful instructional planning that includes meeting the diverse needs of your language learners and students who struggle with math? This series of sessions introduces administrators and instructional leaders to the AIM4S³™ framework, providing concrete ideas to build classroom cultures that promote risk-taking and provide equitable access to the mathematical standards for all of our students.

Have you heard about Number Talks but haven’t tried them yet or have just dipped your toes in? During this session, you will experience Number Talks as well as see the instructional moves that are key for maximizing the strategy with students. Learn how to build Number Talks into your current routines and unit planners. Classroom demos and individual coaching can be part of this professional development cycle..

Would you like more understanding of the Mathematical Practices, what they are, and how to leverage their importance with students? This session will build a foundation for the Mathematical Practices and give you an opportunity to identify them in action in lessons and student work. Making the Mathematical Practices come to life with your students will not only increase the rigor of instruction in your lessons, but it will also increase student engagement and higher-level thinking.

Participate in a short problem-solving lesson in Spanish to experience sheltering and scaffolding strategies that support English learners in having access to the CCSSM and Mathematical Practices. This session is designed for teachers who have zero to an intermediate level of Spanish. This session will give teachers concrete strategies and instructional moves to give language learners access to projects, 3 Act Tasks, and story problems that you are already using in your classroom. The short lesson will be in Spanish. The reflection and share outs will be in English so participants can fully participate in the professional dialogue.
