Dual Language Elementary (Spanish) Teachers
Description
We are looking for two dual-language Spanish Speaking Elementary Teachers. It is 180 contracted workdays and 7 hours a day for 10 months. We offer many benefits and retirement contributions. *Essential Functions: Provide instruction in a Dual Language classroom – teaching Spanish Language and Literacy, Social Studies, and Science in Spanish. Ability to interact with parents of children enrolled in Dual Language and speak to program implementation as well as all aspects.
Qualifications Experience
3+ years successful elementary classroom experience is desired. * Near Native like Spanish fluency is required. * In-depth knowledge of Spanish and English language and literacy standards, crosslinguistic acquisition processes, assessment and instruction. * Knowledge of the Pillars of Dual Language education: Bilingualism/ Biliteracy, Academic Achievement and Socio Cultural Competency. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and positively with all groups within the school community. * Established ability to organize and maintain program records. * Proven ability to work effectively with adult learners * Excellent presentation skills * Strong organizational skills * Proficient in the use of instructional technology, as well as word processing, data management, and presentation software * Willingness to perform necessary non-teaching duties within the normal school day. * Strong interpersonal skills – communication, problem solving, conflict management, collaboration, optimism and integrity.
